Saturday afternoon’s Sale of Champions at the Missouri State Fair will bring the Youth in Agriculture Scholarship program closer to hitting the $1 million mark. Chuck Miller chairs the scholarship program through the Missouri State Fair Foundation.
The Youth in Agriculture Scholarship program has awarded 816 scholarships since 1992, totaling $968,000. Miller says the general public is welcome to contribute.
Exhibitors with lots in the Sale receive 75 percent of the winning bid, with the rest added to the Youth in Agriculture program. The Sale of Champions begins Saturday at 1:30 in the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall.
