Preparing Midwest and Plains Cattle for Extreme Cold

Bitterly cold temperatures are settling into the Midwest and Plains states. Oklahoma State University veterinarian Rosslyn Biggs says cattle producers need to be prepared to protect their cattle.
According to Biggs, it’s all about protecting the investment in your cattle.
It’s also important to consider wind chills, especially if calving.
Temperatures are expected to be well below zero for a large portion of this weekend.
