Farmers that might need to replant fields because of poor corn stands could switch to another crop. University of Missouri Extension agronomist Bill Wiebold says if switching to soybeans, take stock of what products have recently been applied.

Wiebold adds that sorghum could be another option, but dependent on two critical things.

MU Extension agronomist Bill Wiebold notes that extension has a guide available on their website, which includes a calculator that farmers can use to determine whether replanting poor-standing corn is economically feasible.
