Paris FFA Member Earns State Star In Agribusiness

One project led to another for Paris FFA’s Carlee Long, whose entrepreneurship landed her this year’s State Star in Agribusiness.  Long earned the top honor at last month’s Missouri FFA Convention.  She says a desire to cut the cost of raising her show pigs led her to start her own business.

Long says she most enjoys selling the wood chips and show feed, but has seen a significant boost in revenue from her meat business.  She notes that she like many others have had to deal with supply chain issues, and has put new practices in place.

As this year’s State Star in Agribusiness, Carlee Long of Paris FFA will update her application for consideration at the national level this summer.  She’ll find out at the 95th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis if she’s an American Star winner.
