Obituary For Officer Kevin Palmatory

A 31-year officer with the Moberly Police Department, 62-year old Kevin Palmatory died Tuesday at a Columbia hospital. He started his career in December of 1980 and retired as a Police Commander in 2012. Commander Palmatory was instrumental in bringing the department’s Hostage Rescue Team (SWAT) to the forefront of tactical teams in small departments. He worked as the Public Information Officer for the department, working as a liaison with our stations and area media outlets.

A celebration of life for 62-year old Kevin Palmatory will be Saturday at 10:00 at Carpenter Street Baptist Church in Moberly. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 at the church. Interment will be at the Higbee City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Home in Moberly.
