Moberly Dispatcher Discusses National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

For Heather Kirks, who is a 911 Dispatcher with the Moberly Police Department, it’s not difficult to describe how rewarding her job is.

And when there is a fire or a bad accident, the phone lines light up.

Kirks says a couple of the skills that benefit a dispatcher are to be a good listener and to be able to multitask.
