The USDA’s Farm Service Agency is informing farmers of the latest changes to the Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs for 2019 and 2020. FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce says the signature Farm Bill programs have more flexibility for producers than when the programs first started.

While producers have learned a lot about both programs, the FSA has designed a tool to help producers make the best decisions for their individual operations.

Fordyce adds that both farmers and their local FSA offices aren’t quite as busy as they are at other times of the year, which makes it a great time to get in and get the paperwork done. Signup deadlines for 2019 ARC and PLC elections are March 15th, while 2020 selection is due June 30th.
