Crews continue to work on the Monroe City School District’s building projects. Superintendent Dr. Tracy Bottoms says they are finishing up work on the new agriculture building.

Bottoms indicates the school closure has made the transition of moving items from the old agriculture building to the new building, much easier. As a result, Bottoms says the project continues to be on schedule.

The next phase will involve the construction of a new elementary school. Funds for these projects come from the bond issue approved by district voters last year.
