Moberly Man Arrested on Several Charges, Including Domestic Abuse

Moberly police arrested a 31-year-old Moberly man Sunday night with pending charges for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and domestic abuse. The Moberly Police Department says it heard the man possibly took a female Moberly resident against her will. Officers learned there was a protection order in place between the two subjects and outstanding warrants for the male subject’s arrest. Moberly police, Randolph County deputies, and the Highway Patrol searched for both subjects. Authorities then received a report of a separate incident where the same 31-year-old man possibly assaulted another man, but police didn’t locate the victim. Moberly officers later found the suspect in the 800 block of McKinley Street. The subject fled from a vehicle on foot, but Moberly officers pursued and arrested him. Authorities found the female subject safe. Along with the pending charges, the male suspect was booked on active warrants including a parole absconder. The man is held at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Jail without bond.
