Moberly Hosts Osage for Home Opener

Coming off a tough season-opening loss, Moberly starts the home schedule with Osage tonight (Fri.). The Spartans led all but :51 seconds of the second half in losing at Sedalia last week by one point. Coach Cody McDowell says his takeaway is encouraging….

Osage lost its opener to Jefferson City 41-19. The Indians finished 3-7 last year, including a 25-13 victory over the Spartans. Osage graduated playmaking quarterback Brockton McLaughlin, who signed to play at the University of Central Missouri. Coach McDowell says that does change what is an experienced Indians squad…..

Osage coach Shannon Jolley is in his second straight season with the Indians, returning to the program after 15 years last season. Jolley believes that there are positives to take away from his team’s Week 1 defeat.

Moberly and Osage have met 10 times since 2010. Coach Jolley gives his thoughts on the Spartans.
