Moberly Begins Conference Journey With Doubleheader at Hannibal
The first NCMC matchup for the Moberly basketball teams will be on the road at Hannibal High School Tuesday night. The Lady Spartans hope to bounce back from their first loss of the season in the Centralia Tournament Invitational final against the Lady Panthers. Coach Tony Vestal.
Grace Billington led the team with a 21-point performance, complimented by Asa Fanning’s 17 points and 13 rebounds in the tournament finale. Moberly has won seven straight against Hannibal. Vestal scouts this year’s 4-1 Lady Pirates.
The Moberly boys enter the game having won two of its last three. The Spartans latest win was a 62-54 result over the Panthers in the third place game at the Centralia Tournament. Coach Brett Boyer said that collecting some hardware from the tournament was exciting for the team.
Kish Jacobs Jr scored a career-high 22 points in the third place victory. Hannibal opposes Moberly with a record of 2-2.
