The University of Missouri is continuing to prepare for the returns of in-person classes on campus this fall. The university has released its Show Me Renewal Initiative related to the in-person return planned for this fall. The plan will include the creative use of technology and online strategies to achieve social distancing. The university is also planning for shifts to remote instruction if need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Current plans also call for face coverings to be required in classrooms and recommended in buildings when social distancing isn’t possible. The university will have a limited supply of masks available, however students, faculty, and staff are expected to supply their own. In addition, if a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19 the university will work with public health officials to conduct contact tracing for anyone who may have come into contact with the positive test.
