Mizzou AD Sterk Expands On Drinkwitz Hire

It only took Mizzou Athletic Director Jim Sterk a week to find a new football coach, as the university officially announced the hire of Eliah Drinkwitz Tuesday morning. Sterk said it wasn’t difficult to convince Drinkwitz, his wife, and four daughters to come to Columbia.

Sterk says in replacing Coach Barry Odom, who was generally popular with the players, it was important to get the players to buy in on the new hire.

Sterk says Drinkwitz’s enthusiasm might help sell a few more tickets.

Mizzou opens the season September 5th at home against Central Arkansas.
