Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Awards Contracts for Projects in Northeast District

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission last Wednesday awarded contracts for several road projects in the northeast part of the state. W.L. Miller Company was awarded a $5.4 million contract to raise the pavement about two-and-a-half feet on part of Highway 61, from between the Iowa State line to east of Highway 136 in Clark County. Gene Haile Excavating was awarded a $929 thousand dollar contract for a bridge replacement project on Route AA over Bee Creek in Monroe County, about three miles west of Highway 15 near Paris. Emery Sapp and Sons was awarded several contracts: one for $767 thousand for two bridge rehab projects in Scotland County, on Route A over the BNSF Railway near Rutledge, and Route T over the North Fork Middle Fabius River, about two miles west of Route 15 near Bible Grove; a $5.1 million contract for pavement repairs and grooving along Highway 36 in Marion and Shelby counties; and $856 thousand for four bridge rehab projects on Highway 63 near Kirksville.
