Missouri Department of Conservation Offering Free Fishing Clinics in Kirksville

The Missouri Department of Conservation offers kids and their families a chance to participate in a series of free fishing workshops in Kirksville. The Discover Nature Fishing workshops will cover the basics of fishing equipment, casting, and proper fish handling. The workshops will be divided into four different lessons dealing with different aspects of fishing. Lessons one and two will be offered July 20th and July 22nd, from 4 to 6 pm each night with participants having the option to select either night. Lessons three and four will be offered from 4 to 6 pm on July 27th and 29th with participants again having their choice of either night. All of the lessons will take place at the department’s Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must pre-register online on the Missouri Department of Conservation website.
