Milan School District Considering Land Purchase for New Baseball and Softball Fields

The Milan School District is considering the purchase of 30 acres of land just south of town for new baseball and softball fields. Milan currently has just one field, which is owned by the American Legion post. Superintendent Ashley Pauley says these new fields would fill a great need.

The new fields would be located near the Sullivan County Expo and Fairgrounds. Plans call for one softball and two baseball fields to be constructed on the site. Pauley lays out the timeline for the purchase and construction.

The Milan School District is waiting to get with the city for the closing on the land.
