Martin Discusses Future of Higher Education

Higher education across the country will have several challenges over the next few years. One is that many students who were in middle school or high school during the pandemic missed key parts of their education. Incoming MACC President, and current Vice President of Instruction, Todd Martin, says community colleges are prepared for that in part because they are open admission.

He says enrollment will look different in the coming years.

Workforce programs will continue to grow, with students being ready for jobs even more quickly.

The college last month announced an aviation flight technology program to be based at the old terminal at Columbia Regional Airport.
