Man Killed in Jefferson City

A man has died following a shooting in Jefferson City overnight. Jefferson City Police say officers were called to the 900 block of Jackson Street around 12:15 Wednesday morning, where they found a 35-year-old man in the road with several gunshot wounds. He was stabilized at the hospital there, then died while being transferred to Columbia. Witnesses described the shooter as a black man with dreadlocks, who fled the area on foot.
