Macon Teen Killed in Single Vehicle Accident

One teen was killed and another seriously injured in a single vehicle accident in Macon County Friday afternoon. The State Highway Patrol reports an SUV driven by a 16-year-old male was traveling eastbound on Vine Street, two miles east of Macon, and lost control on the gravel roadway, struck a bridge and overturned. The driver and a 15-year-old male occupant were ejected. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the occupant was taken to Kirksville.
