Macon Superintendent Scott Jarvis plans to retire at the end of the school year. Jarvis says his age and desire to spend more time with his family are the primary reasons why he’s decided to call it quits.

Jarvis served as Tipton’s superintendent for six years before joining Macon in the same role in 2016. Jarvis shared what his future plans are.

The Macon School Board is already conducting a search and hopes to name a new superintendent by December 1st. Jarvis believes Macon’s superintendent opening will be attractive.

Jarvis’ last day will be June 30th.
