Moberly is 28-3, and earned a tournament berth for the fourth straight season. Barton is 28-5, and the champions of Region Six. The Cougars are led by Jenny Nkem Womsi, who averages 14.8 and 13.2 rebounds per game.

As the fourth seed, the men had a first round bye, and will play 24-9 Dodge City of Kansas in the second round. Dodge City is the 13th seed, and an at-large selection out of Region Six. Coach Pat Smith says with the possible exception of John A. Logan, the top seed in the tournament, Dodge City is going to be the toughest opponent they’ve faced all year.
