Luetkemeyer on Affirmative Action

The Supreme Court last month struck down race as a criteria for admission into most colleges and universities, but left it in place for military service academies. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says Congress could pass legislation to end it there too, but he thinks it’s unlikely.

Mississippi Republican Roger Wicker, ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has announced he intended to do away with affirmative action at military academies in the National Defense Authorization Act, and Wisconsin Representative Tom Tiffany has announced a similar amendment in the House.
