Legislation Progressing to Help Mizzou Sell Property

Since 2018, the University of Missouri has been planning to sell Mizzou North, which includes the old Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. However, in order for the university to do so, the Missouri Legislature must first pass a piece of legislation. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch explains the situation.
The Hallsville Republican adds this legislation is making progress as part of a larger bill.
The higher education bill was approved by the Missouri House of Representatives last week and has moved on to the Senate.
