La Plata Lady Dogs Book Trip To Springfield With State Quarterfinal Win Saturday

The Lady Dogs got out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning. Pitcher Whitney Snow held Braymer scoreless through three innings. Snow finished the game with 12 strikeouts and allowed just four hits. Snow also got La Plata on the board first.

The Lady Dogs followed up with three runs in the second inning. Braymer’s Ella Clevenger hit a solo home run to center field in the fourth to put the Lady Cats in the score column. Braymer left the bases loaded in the fifth as Snow delivered back-to-back strikeouts to finish the innings. Travis talked about her team facing adversity.

Braymer finishes the season 17-9. La Plata improves to 24-5 and will face the 21-3 Gallatin Lady Bulldogs in Springfield Friday at noon.
