MoDOT Northeast Area Engineer Jeff Kroner explained to KWIXland This Morning listeners why crews won’t pre-treat roadways ahead of this winter storm….

Kroner said they catch a break when temperatures only drop to around 30…..

Kroner will hit routes 63, 24, 36, and other numbered highways hard through the overnight hours. Once those roads are in good shape, crews will start clearing lettered blacktops. He reminded listeners to check the MoDOT Traveler Map (under our community tab at centralmoinfo.com).
