KRES-area Basketball Signings – King, Koenig, George

A few KRES-area seniors signed to play college basketball this week. Moberly’s Central Christian College of the Bible announced the addition of Salisbury standout Jackson King. The Panther point guard earned Class 2 All-State honors and his third KRES All-Star selection this year. King’s Panthers finished second in Class 2 after the senior delivered 25 points on 11-14 field goals in the state semifinals. The future Saint leaves Salisbury with 1,668 career points. Westran’s Karter Koenig signed with William Woods. Koenig averaged 13.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the 19-6 Hornets. The Second Team All-Lewis and Clark forward helped Westran to league titles in both his sophomore and junior seasons. William Jewell signed Hallsville’s Jalen George. The First Team All-Tri-County guard averaged 19.4 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. George shot 38 percent from three for 14-10 Hallsville.
