Kirksville Man Killed in Accident

A Kirksville man was killed in an accident in Adair County around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon. The State Highway Patrol reports a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Larry Howe of Novinger had equipment failure and traveled off the right side of Rt. O one mile north of Novinger. The vehicle then struck a ditch, continued on and impacted into a driveway. Howe and a passenger, 68-year-old Anthony Castiner of Kirksville, were taken to Kirksville where Castiner was later pronounced dead. Howe suffered serious injuries.
