A house in Keytesville is a total loss following a structure fire that broke out shortly after 6 pm on Wednesday. The Keytesville Fire Department was dispatched to a residence at the junction of Highway 5 and Cleveland Street. Keytesville Firefighter Michael Sehlke says the home was fully involved when they arrived.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home, which was declared a total loss. Sehlke says their main focus was containing the fire as much as possible.

Keytesville Firefighters were on the scene until Thursday at 6 am. They returned two hours later to contain a couple of hot spots. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
