Justin Conyers Excited to Lead Alma Mater Hickman

Hallsville football coach Justin Conyers is going back to his alma mater. The 1999 Hickman graduate will lead Kewpie football next season after five years at Hallsville.

Previous Hickman coach Cedric Alvis stepped down November 3rd.

One coach that will be following him is Mike Morris, who has assisted Conyers throughout his entire coaching career at Battle and Hallsville.

Conyers is grateful for his time at Hallsville.

Conyers will have the opportunity to rebuild a Hickman program that’s coming off an 0-10 season and has just 19 wins over the last 11 seasons. He says that starts with culture and accountability.

Conyers’ head coaching career began in 2013 at Battle, where he led the Spartans to five straight district championships and a state championship in 2014.
