IOWA WOMAN HURT IN ACCIDENT IN MONROE CO

An Iowa woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Monroe County Tuesday morning. The State Highway Patrol reports that around 10:45, 63-year-old Kevin O’Bannon of Madison was eastbound in his semi on Route M, when 23-year-old Mandy Steele of West Burlington, Iowa, approached in her car while southbound on Route C, 10 miles north of Centralia, and failed to stop at a stop sign, striking the semi on the side. No injuries were reported for O’Bannon. Steele was taken to Columbia.
