Increases in Funding Highlight Missouri State Budget

The Missouri Legislature has passed the state operating budget for fiscal year 2024. The new spending plan totals just under 50 billion dollars. Representative Tim Taylor of Bunceton shares some of the highlights.

The budget was passed with just an hour to spare before Friday’s deadline. The I-70 expansion plan that came from the Senate gained a lot of attention. Taylor says he’s intrigued to see how work on the planned project will play out.

Governor Mike Parson will review the budget and determine any final cuts that need to be made before signing it.
