The Kansas City Chiefs and Entercom introduced the new radio broadcast team today (Friday) and it includes a man who has been close to Truman State University athletic programs in recent years. Former Iowa Hawkeye and Chiefs wide receiver Danan Hughes will provide color commentary for Mitch Holthus, who enters his 27th season calling Chiefs football. Danan has three children that wear Bulldog purple. Taurin played for the Truman men’s basketball team, Savvy played volleyball, and younger sister Talyn is currently on the Bulldog volleyball team. Danan Hughes has been broadcasting football and baseball as part of the Big Ten Network since 2008, as well as Chiefs pregame and postgame shows on local television since 2014.

Kansas City radio morning show personality, Josh Klingler, will be the Chiefs’ new sideline reporter, and veteran Art Haines returns to host pregame and postgame coverage.

In the offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs switched local flagship stations to 106.5 The Wolf, WDAF-FM. We continue to be your local home of the Super Bowl champions. You can hear Chiefs football on 99.9 FM The Captain.
