Hounds and Lady Hounds Both Ranked 15th

The MACC men’s and women’s basketball teams were both ranked 15th in the NJCAA preseason rankings. Men’s coach Pat Smith was surprised.

The Mineral Area men are 22nd, and Three Rivers is getting votes. No other Region 16 women’s teams are in the Top 25. Women’s coach Hana Haden thinks her team has the tools to meet those expectations.

Both defending champions, the Northwest Florida State men and Tyler of Texas women, top their respective polls. Other men’s opponents in the top 25 include Indian Hills 3rd, Triton 7th, and Southeastern 18th.
