Horner Breaks Down His Four Bulldog Newcomers

After nine players entered the transfer portal, Truman men’s basketball coach Jeff Horner had some additional work to do this summer. The Bulldogs welcomed four more newcomers to the program last week in 6’5 Jemarco Burse from Southeastern Illinois College, 6’4 Adam Sommer from Belmont Abbey, and 6’6 Brennan Lovette from Rend Lake Community College, and 6’8 Tobias Reizner from Don Bosco Institute.

Horner describes Burse as a winner….

Lovette played his high school ball at DeSmet, in St. Louis, then went to Rend Lake Community College for a year….

Sommer is from St. Louis and went to Don Bosco Institue, then played a year each at Garden City Community College and Division 2 Belmont Abbey…..

Reizner is from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Burse and Sommer have two years of eligibility left, Lovette has three years, and Reizner four years. Five other freshmen signed in the fall to play for the Bulldogs. Six returners brings the roster to 15.
