High Expectations For Higbee Basketball

Higbee Coach Tanner Burton has high expectations for both of his basketball teams this winter. The girls team brings back most of last year’s 20-8 team, and adds a freshman class of seven more.

He says that depth has made practices and scrimmages more competitive.

He says the girls have bought in to playing a tougher schedule this year.

The Higbee girls have advanced to the finals of the Northwestern Tournament.

The boys went 24-5 last year, and Burton says they’re here to “cause a ruckus.”

He says the team has great leaders.

He says all they want is success.

The Higbee boys will play Northwestern in the semifinals of Northwestern Tournament tonight.
