Harrisburg Football Coach Steve Hopkins Announces Retirement

Harrisburg football coach Steve Hopkins announced his retirement today. Hopkins took over a young Harrisburg program in 2019 that had won just six games total and guided the Bulldogs to four consecutive winning seasons, including a district title appearance in 2020 and their first Lewis and Clark Conference title this past season. Hopkins accumulated a record of 29-15 at Harrisburg. His coaching career spanned 45 years after starting at Warrensburg in 1977. Prior to Harrisburg, he coached at Southern Boone and Boonville.
