Glasgow Girls Finish Second in State Cross Country Meet

Glasgow made history at the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships last weekend at Gans Creek. The Lady Jackets finished second and collected the program’s first team trophy. Coach Becky Thompson reflected on the milestone…

Senior Malia Carmack was one of two who medaled for the Lady Jackets. Thompson says she has come a long way from her freshman year.

Freshman teammate Addison Barringhaus finished second in the Class 1 meet. Thompson says she has a bright future.

The Glasgow cross country programs have only been around for eight years. Thompson explains why she thinks both the girls and boys programs have been very consistent.

Other members of Glasgow’s runner-up group include freshmen Hannah DeMint, Kaitlyn Monnig, junior Macie Parks, sophomore KatiJo Schaefer, and senior Tehya Sellmeyer.
