Gaines Discusses Siren Tests

Emergency warning sirens are tested throughout Randolph County the first Wednesday of the month, weather permitting. Emergency Management Director David Gaines says those tests are monitored by partners in the field.

Gaines said a new siren costs around 30 thousand dollars.

Gaines said recently a siren was moved from the Armory to Fox Park in Moberly and the siren at MACC was adjusted with the work taking place on campus. The most recent siren addition was at Holiday Acres and a 23rd siren in Randolph County will be installed at the Eastern Randolph Fire Department along Route EE east of Moberly later this year.
