Filing Open for Moberly City Council Election

Filing is underway for the April Moberly City Council election. John Kimmons’ seat is up for re-election in 2023. The filing period will close on December 27th at 5 pm. Anyone looking to file can do so at Moberly City Hall during regular business hours. City Clerk Shannon Hance details who is eligible to file.

Each city council position has a three-year term attached to it. Hance says there are a variety of duties for city council members.

Each city council member is also appointed to serve as a liaison for a board or commission. Election day is April 4th. Residents are encouraged to contact the Randolph County Clerk’s office to register to vote. The last day to register is March 8th.
