Pleasant Hope’s Grant Dohle successfully repeated Sunday as exhibitor of the Supreme Champion Dairy Cow, the final contest at this year’s Missouri State Fair. Dohle says his Jersey cow was older than the one that he brought to the fairgrounds last year.

Dohle says his family’s operation has been fortunate this year, not only to compete, but also to survive in what’s been an especially tough year for the dairy industry.

Dohle was not the only one to repeat at this year’s State Fair dairy shows. Whitney Yerina of Conway defended her grand champion title in the Guernsey class, but was able to improve on last year’s overall finish by claiming Reserve Supreme Champion honors.
