Dodge City Knocks Off The Greyhounds In The 2nd Round Of The NJCAA Tournament

Jason Edwards scored 31 points to help 13 seed Dodge City, Kansas knock off the number 4 seed Moberly Greyhounds 77-74 today in the second round of the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Hounds trailed by seven at halftime and by as many as 12 with 14 minutes left, but fought back to tie the game with 4:36 left on a Jaheim Tanksley steal and layup. Dodge led by four with under two minutes left when Teddy Washington hit a big shot….

Tanksley’s three was off the mark and the Greyhounds 20-game winning streak end. Coach Pat Smith said they couldn’t get over the hump….

Tre’von Spiller led Moberly with 17 points and 14 rebounds and Washington added 16. Dodge City had a 54-36 rebound advantage…..

The Greyhounds wrap up the season with a record of 30-4.
