DNR Pesticide Collection Event Saturday at Salisbury

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will collect unwanted and leftover pesticides Saturday morning outside Salisbury. CJ Plassmeyer of the Waste Management Program says Missouri farmers and residents can drop off their unwanted product at the collection event.
Plassmeyer says care needs to be exercised when handling and transporting pesticides which have lost their labels or are in leaking containers.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ pesticide collection event takes place Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at Ricketts Farm Service outside Salisbury. Another collection is scheduled for August 28th in Kahoka. Details on these and other collections can be found on DNR’s website.
