Columbia Treating Dollar General Fire as Suspicious

The Columbia Fire Department says a fire at a Dollar General early Monday morning, the second at that location in a month, is suspicious. Firefighters were called to the 3700 block of Flanders Court around 12:10. They encountered heavy smoke and extreme heat in the building, and heavy fire in the attic. It was brought under control in about one hour. Another fire took place there May 11th. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
