Columbia Man Seriously Injured Near Higbee

A Columbia man was seriously injured in an accident on Route B about a mile west of Higbee around 4:05pm Wednesday. The State Highway Patrol says 52-year-old Merle Downing’s SUV went off the north side of the road, hit the ground and overturned, ejecting him. He was flown to Columbia.
