Columbia Citizens Vote to Renew Park Sales Tax

Columbia residents voted to renew the city’s Park Sales Tax Tuesday. A total of 7,202 voters voted in support of renewing the tax, while 1,760 people voted against it. The tax was scheduled to be reduced to one-eighth of 1 cent on March 31. The 1/4 tax will be reinstated for an additional 10 years.
