Christian Music Stars On State Fair Grandstand August 16th

Two contemporary Christian performers, including an artist who launched his music career in Kansas City, will headline the Missouri State Fair Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance on August 16th.  The fair’s evening of Christian music will fall on a Wednesday and feature Cory Asbury, whose most recent album To Love A Fool includes the hit singles “Sparrows” and “The Father’s House”.  A North Carolina native, Asbury’s singing career began when he joined the worship ministry at the International House of Prayer in 2005, spending the next decade in Kansas City.  Also performing that night is CAIN, a trio of siblings from Alabama whose first single “Rise Up (Lazarus)” topped the Christian charts last year.

This is the second concert announcement for this year’s Missouri State Fair Grandstand.  Tickets go on sale the morning of June 27th through Etix and the State Fair box office.  The 121st Missouri State Fair runs August 10th through the 20th in Sedalia.
