Busick Discusses Rural Workforce Housing Investment Act

A bill in the Missouri House would create a revolving grant fund to help get new houses built in rural Missouri. State Representative Danny Busick supports House Bill 2240, which he says would need a few million dollars to start.
Another bill, also from Representative Greg Sharpe, would give tax credits to investors in rural housing projects. Busick likes the grant fund proposal better because the money would be repaid.
The House Rural Community Development Committee will hold a hearing on the bill Monday.
