Brookfield Set to Welcome South Shelby

Brookfield is set to welcome South Shelby for a Clarence Cannon Conference doubleheader Tuesday.

The South Shelby girls notched a win over Palmyra Friday to snap a three-game losing skid. Coach Luke O’Laughlin says his team knows what they need to do to succeed.

Just over 54% of South Shelby’s shot attempts are from long distance. The Ladybirds come into the game with a 12-8 record. Brookfield is 1-14.

One boys team will snap a losing streak. 7-14 South Shelby has dropped four straight while 3-14 Brookfield has lost eight in a row. South Shelby coach Dalton Armontrout says the little things have made a difference.

Brookfield coach Carey Davison says depth has proven to be an issue this season.

Both teams are also seeking their first conference win. You can hear South Shelby at Brookfield on 99.9 The Captain with pregame starting at 5:45. Austin Ward will have the call.
