University of Missouri Extension will host a workshop next week introducing cattle producers to the techniques and practices of artificially inseminating beef cattle. Heather Conrow is the livestock specialist at the Howard County Extension office in Fayette and is organizing the two-day workshop.

The workshop will take place April 9th and 10th at the Beef Research and Teaching Farm just south of Columbia. Conrow says using AI to improve beef cattle herds is a common industry practice.

The beef cattle AI workshop will be taught in partnership with Select Sires. To register or for more information, contact the Boone County Extension office at 573-445-9792. The registration deadline is Friday.
