Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is still awaiting Pfizer vaccine doses for the 5 to 11 age group, but the department has announced tentative plans to begin school-based COVID-19 vaccination clinics the week of November 15th at some Boone County schools. Parents with questions about their school’s participation in the clinics are encouraged to contact their school nurse. Parental consent forms are required for anyone under 18.

The department will also have appointment-only vaccination clinics at the office on West Worley in downtown Columbia on Saturdays from 9 to 1, for anyone who needs any dose in the series of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Individuals 5 years old and older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine while the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are also available for individuals aged 18 and older. Appointments are required and can be scheduled on their website. Vaccines are free and do not require health insurance.
